My Jewel quilt

I have come to a stand still, I have run out of black, and have only a small bit of the coloured fabric left, so for the time being my Jewel quilt is hanging on my curtains, I look at it each time I come past, and it still has not come to me what might be next.
I was going to put four borders on, one bright ( a solid colour) and then black and then the original fabric that I used plus another black. The only problem with that is that there is just not enough fabric left. My daughter thinks I should make diamonds all the way round, but I am not convinced. We will see.

I just had to put this up straight away

It is turning out beautifully, three rows together and I have to show it off, this is the centre of the quilt, it will be over 6 foot square when I am done. I am just taking the blocks as they come, all my previous ones I have picked and moved and then moved again, this time it is come as they are.

More stuff

This is a lap quilt that is also waiting for quilting, it cost me a whole $2, I found the fabric at Vinnies, I does have a couple more borders, but I dont seem to have taken a photo of it with those on.

Bom blocks

The Row by Row that I am doing from the internet this year, one row to go. Click here to see the patterns.

What I have done since my last post.

Can can, I love this one.

Table runner for Lynette B, also a swap.
This one was thrust upon me, not my choice of colour or fabric, But it turned out well, was made for a cousin.

Practicing

I am not sure if it is noticeable in the photo or not, but I have been practicing with the quilting, if you look very carefully I have signed this

They are all done!

Since my quilting frame took up residence here I have been trying to get all those tops done. Well they are, finished the last one just now. The one on the left is the latest Stack n wack, I think this one turned out really well, it was a lot of fiddling and counting to get the circles to line up where I wanted them to go.
The right one is call "Celebrate the Harvest" and was a project in Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine.

Stack and Wack Sampler finished

And here it is finished and quilted, I am very proud of myself, normally the top gets done and then it is stashed, for months and months till I decide that I need to quilt one before I start on the next.
This little lap quilt has already headed off to its new home. Should nearly be there.

One of my current projects

A few weeks ago I was given a half metre of fabric (thanks Cheryl) and I just had to make something out of it so now it is Stacked and Wacked, it is not finished, needs a broder or two, and I have a little of the yellow left, so I am thinking that yellow and green combined and then maybe a red one or visa versa.

Tassie Trip

In 2007 I went to visit my son and his new family in Tasmania, the Paisley fabric in the quilt was picked up there, so in all this one took just over 12 months to complete, I must admit though that it probably took 9 months to get around to the quilting. It is only quilted in the ditch. I have put polar fleece on the back, so it is only a two layer quilt.
