Blue update
So far I have 16 squares at 4 1/2 inches and four at 5 inches. My plan is to use the 16 as a centre with sashing and go from there. The reason I have two different sizes is............the calico I have used in the back was all different sizes, all scraps too. Now to me that seems perfectly OK. I will get back with what comes next, atm I don't know.

The triangles for the DJ quilt go together on the border, upside down, there is a plain triangle (points down) between 2 pieced/applique triangles to make the "rectangle" border. You can check the original quilt at:
